Geography


Climate 
Germany has a mild climate, largely because the land is near the sea. The northern plain and the Central Uplands have a cool and raw winter, summers are warm, but they're are apt to be rainy and often cloudy.

The southern part of Germany has colder, drier winters and snow stays longer on the ground, especially in the hills. Summers are warmer and brighter, but they also have heavier rains. Temperatures vary.

Population 
The development after 1945 is characterised by the integration of about 12 million expellees and fugitives, a stable birth and death rate, and the immigration of foreign workers (7,4%). The population now is about 79 million inhabitants which makes a density of 222 inhabitants/km² (fairly high).

Germany is located in the middle of Europe. It ranges from the North Sea and Baltic Sea to the Alpes. The bordering countries are
